How to avoid a cruise disaster

Travelers who plan a trip to Cuba should avoid all of the bad news that comes along with it, as Cuba’s government is currently investigating a cruise ship disaster that resulted in at least seven deaths.

According to the Associated Press, the incident took place off the coast of Puerto Plata in the Caribbean.

“We know that we are on the path of recovery,” Cuban President Raul Castro said, according to the AP.

“The government is taking all measures to minimize damage and prevent further loss of life.”

There are also reports of a second shipwreck off the southern coast of Cuba.

The Associated Press reported that three ships that were carrying passengers were lost off the island of Antigua.

There are reports that the ships may have collided with each other, but those reports are currently unconfirmed.

The AP says that the cruise ship was headed from the Cuban port of Port Canaveral to the southern port of Mariel.

There was no immediate word on the fate of the two ships.

The Caribbean Cruise Lines cruise company is not involved in the investigation.
